Eligibility Criteria:
To participate in the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Children’s Literature, submitted works must meet the following criteria:
• The work must be written in clear, comprehensible standard Arabic.
• The applicant must be Arab or of Arab origin and at least 18 years old.
• The work must be original, unpublished, untranslated, and not submitted to or awarded by any other competition.
• The work must comply with the theme and word count of the current cycle and must not have previously won the award.
• Submitted works may not be modified after submission.
• The Foundation reserves the right to withhold the award or request revisions to winning works in consultation with the author.
• Submitted works are not returned, and no feedback is provided on ineligible submissions.
