Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Arab Bank’s cultural and social responsibility arm, has announced the opening of applications for the 10th cycle of the Young Innovators Lab Program (2026/2027). The program is implemented by the Foundation’s Knowledge Path Library in partnership with Thinking Oasis Foundation.

The application deadline is July 22.
The program reflects the commitment of both Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation and Thinking Oasis Foundation to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and innovation among children and young adolescents while helping them develop essential future-ready skills.
Applicants must:
•    Be between 10 and 13 years old (Grades 5–7).
•    Reside in Jordan.
•    Be able to attend all stages of the program in Amman.
•    Complete a Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) as part of the selection process.
According to the Foundation, participants will take part throughout August and September in training workshops covering:
•    Critical thinking
•    Scientific experiments
•    Electricity and electronics
•    Microcontrollers and Arduino
•    3D printing
•    Artificial intelligence
•    Preliminary and final project development
•    Public speaking and presentation skills
The 10th edition will be held at the Foundation’s Jabal Amman branch and will be delivered through five consecutive phases.
Launched in 2015, the Young Innovators Lab is a joint initiative between Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation and Thinking Oasis Foundation. The program combines specialized scientific and hands-on workshops designed to enhance participants’ research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. It provides children aged 10–13 with opportunities to explore real-world challenges, evaluate solutions, and develop innovative responses.
Throughout the program, participants learn to work with electronic microcontroller kits and create inventions aimed at solving everyday problems. In the final stage, teams develop projects using these tools under the guidance of university students who mentor them, encourage critical thinking and analysis, and provide support throughout the innovation process.
At the conclusion of the program, the two organizations celebrate participants, mentors, and completed projects through a two-day exhibition. The event provides young innovators with a platform to showcase their ideas and achievements to government representatives, innovation and education professionals, media outlets, and their families. Each team presents its final project and explains its concept, development process, and impact.
