Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation and Jordan Express Tourist Transport (JETT) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide passengers with access to digital reading content, turning travel time into an opportunity for discovery, learning, and cultural engagement.
The agreement was signed by Valentina Kassisieh, Chief Executive Officer of Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, and Dr. Khaled Theeb Al-Laham, Chief Executive Officer of JETT.
Through the partnership, JETT passengers will gain access to a digital library featuring a broad selection of cultural and educational resources. The two organizations will also explore joint initiatives that encourage reading and broaden access to knowledge beyond traditional settings.
Valentina Kassisieh said the collaboration reflects the Foundation's commitment to expanding access to culture and knowledge through platforms that meet people where they are.
"The way people engage with knowledge continues to evolve. By bringing high-quality content into everyday spaces, we can make reading more accessible and encourage greater engagement with culture and ideas," she said.
Kassisieh added that the partnership creates new opportunities to reach diverse audiences and strengthen reading habits through practical, accessible solutions.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Al-Laham said the initiative aligns with JETT's vision of enhancing the passenger experience by offering value beyond transportation.
"Our goal is to make every journey more rewarding. Providing access to a digital library allows passengers to use their travel time in a meaningful way while exploring a wide range of cultural and educational content," he said.
Al-Laham noted that the initiative forms part of JETT's ongoing efforts to introduce innovative services that respond to passengers' evolving needs and expectations.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to community development through collaboration, innovation, and greater access to learning opportunities. It also supports broader efforts to encourage reading as a lifelong habit and to strengthen the role of culture in everyday life.
Research shows that commuting is increasingly becoming a time for learning, with public transport offering a convenient opportunity to access books, audiobooks, and other educational content. By integrating a digital library into the travel experience, the partnership aims to help passengers make the most of time spent on the move.
