Amman – Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation has announced the final winners of the 22nd edition of the Abde’a Award for Creative Production for Children and Youth, following the recommendations of the judging panels approved by the Award’s Higher Committee.
Organized by the Foundation, the Abde’a Award is one of Jordan’s leading initiatives dedicated to nurturing creativity among children and young people in the fields of literature, performing arts, visual arts, and scientific innovation. The award seeks to discover emerging talent, support its development, and provide opportunities for creative growth.
The winning entries were selected across a range of disciplines and age categories, reflecting the diversity of creative talents among young participants from across Jordan.
Valentina Kassisieh, CEO of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, emphasized the importance of the award in empowering children and youth, noting that its impact extends well beyond competition. She highlighted the specialized training workshops offered to finalists, which help participants refine their talents, strengthen their skills, and expand their creative potential across various fields.
Kassisieh also called on families, schools, and cultural institutions to encourage children and young people to participate in future editions of the award, underscoring its role in discovering talent, nurturing creativity, and building self-confidence.
Expressing pride in the outcomes of the current edition, she noted that the results align with the Foundation’s vision of fostering creativity and supporting emerging generations of innovators, artists, and writers.
Since its relaunch in 2018, the Abde’a Award has continued its mission of promoting a culture of creativity by identifying talented children and youth at an early age, encouraging them to express their ideas and perspectives, and preparing them to engage positively with contemporary challenges through innovation and artistic expression.
Originally launched in 1988, the award continued until 2003 before returning in a renewed format that reflects the aspirations and interests of a new generation. Open to all children and young people residing in Jordan, the award remains committed to advancing creative production and supporting the talents of future generations.
