The Film Committee at the Shoman Foundation screens the Cuban film "Death of a Bureaucratic"

The Cinema Committee at the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation will screen, tomorrow evening, Tuesday, August 31st, at 6:30 pm, the Cuban film "Death of a Bureaucratic" directed by Thomas Gutierrez Alia, in the open air from the roof of the foundation.
The 1966 film tells the story of a Cuban worker who dies by a mistake, his union card is buried with him, and it soon becomes crystal clear to the worker's widow that she needs the card to claim his pension. The worker's nephew begins his hilarious battle against the authorities in order to exhume his uncle's grave, rebury him, and recover the precious document.
The screening of the 85-minute film, which won one of the international awards, is followed by a discussion about the events of the film with the audience, knowing that the film is suitable for viewers aged 17 years and over.
During the screening of the film, all government requirements related to public safety and social distancing will be applied, with reference to the need not to accompany children.
