Musical Evening by "Shoman" Entitled "Mowashahat Andalusia and Farouk Lambaz"

Tomorrow, Thursday, the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation will hold the third musical evening this summer within the framework of the “Sound and Color” program, entitled: Andalusia and Farouk Lambaz’s Muwashshahat, at the Foundation’s headquarter in Jabal Amman, at 7:30 pm. “Sound and Color” are musical evenings held by the Foundation during the summer of 2021 in the open air. It is visual art that took the lion’s share as it highlights artworks from the Foundation’s collections. The head of the Communication and Public Relations Department at the Foundation, Farah Abu Eisha, indicated that Sound and Color are the two materials for artistic creativity for both music and composition, and the sound of our evening "Andalusia Muwashshahat" will be the voice of the artist Sarah Al-Bo, who will perform a group of muwashshahat, taqaqiq and qudud from the oriental musical tradition in Egypt and the Levant. In addition to contemporary musical compositions by Tariq Al-Jundi and Rami Al-Jundi, as for the color of our evening, it will be the paintings of the Jordanian artist Farouk Lambez, who often shows the Arab and Islamic artistic heritage in his paintings, five of which are acquired by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation. Abu Aisha added, "As usual, the interlinked connection between composition and music should give a particular focus on the "Sound and Color" evenings. The focus of our evening is centered upon, "Andalusian Muwashshahat", the close connection between the paintings of the visual artist Farouk Lambaz and the Andalusian muwashshahat, both of which are part of the Islamic artistic heritage, noting that An evening that combines the oriental musical tradition and contemporary music. It is noteworthy that Farouk Lambaz is a Jordanian artist who studied at the Institute of Arts and Music in Amman, and also studied graphic art and poster design. Established to support the visual arts in Jordan from 1982 until 1998, the artist Lambaz casts a light on the Arab and Islamic artistic heritage in his paintings. The evening will host the artists and musicians Sarah Al-Bo - singer, Ramy Al-Jundi - percussion, Awwad Al-Awwad - percussion, Tariq Al-Jundi - Oud, Rola Barghouti - Qanoon, Khaled Balawi - Cello, Laith Suleiman - Nay, and Nasser Salama - musical advisor to the Abdul Hamid Foundation Schumann.
